Since we have got back we started to list a few things on Facebook marketplace and what an absolute nightmare it is. We have items ranging from £5 up to £50. Just things from the awning like some lamps, toaster and TV. The amount of people that ask you questions and then you answer them and never reply back. It is absolutely staggering. I have honestly never seen anything like it. It is mental. We had the caravan up for sale on there for a little while and it was up for roughly £30k and some offered us a car and £10k and one person even said would we accept £15k bank transfer and when we replied no he said “ok, thought i would chance my arm as you don’t know peoples circumstances” which i thought was a bit cheeky really but people always seem ready to benefit from someone else’s misery.
I am quite chuffed with the progress we are making at the moment with getting everything ready. My Mum has had a unit off us, and my Dad has taken my beloved beer pump and some pots and pans. I would have loved to have kept all of those other things but the pans weighed a ton. As we were keeping the caravan on site we were not worried about weight but in our Moho weight will be something we will have to start keeping our eye on. Especially with all the things we want to take with us like e-scooters and air fryers and essentially our whole life.
I did a funny earlier on today. It was so funny i was crying with laughter before i had even sent the message. It was regarding the toaster and someone asked if it still worked. I said yes i had some toast from it earlier on, she replied with “How Much?” and i said……….. 4 slices. Honestly i was crying with laughter, so so so funny. This was one of many funny interactions i had. I can honestly say i am not a big fan of Marketplace at all.
