Diary Entry – 5th December 2022

Had a nice day off today as I worked both weekend days. Spent most of the morning lying in bed not really doing much and then on to Holmes Chapel to see a guy about doing some units for the campervan to try and increase the storage space that we have in it, Lisa spoke to him and agreed some colours and what we were looking for and he quoted £60 to cut it into shape and all sort of stuff which seem bizarre to me that is was so cheap but I don’t have to be told that twice. I was expecting a couple of hundred pounds.

We then drove to Stoke to get some stuff from my Nans and she wanted me to put up her Christmas lights, this is an ongoing annual thing, along with putting up her winter curtains. In March/ April time it will be spring and summer curtains. Without fail, every year. Rory was hard work at Nan Eileens he had a squawking fit for about 15 minutes so I was more than happy to get out of the way and put the lights up. We have had to order a new V5, all the YT videos we want seem to talk about border people checking V5s etc so wanted to make sure it is right.

Chased Spinney again about the swivel seat but still no joy, the swivel seat is so so so important for us as that is where Rory sleeps and I just wouldn’t feel as settled if those front seats were not facing into the van. All in all a good day and nice to have a day off. We have accepted a deal from the CAMC which is basically 4 nights a month in one of there sites for a monthly blog piece which we are more than happy to commit to.
