An entry from me (Lisa) today! Today started off very overcast with the promise of a storm, but alas no storm arrived, I was gutted! We’ve still not had a proper storm since we set off. We had a tiny bit of lightning back in Portugal, and Dickie managed to get a lightning bolt when we were at Ocean Blue in Mohammedia but no proper down pours with roaring thunder boo hoo. Thankfully though the threat of the storm has brought cooler weather and a nice breeze so we had a nice morning stroll along the sea front.
The highlight of the walk was seeing “one ear”, named so as he had a wee chunk missing from an ear. But he is a very happy dog. I’m surprised Dickie hasn’t already mentioned him…he followed us back from our walk to the cashpoint on Tuesday late afternoon (a good 2k). We stopped at the shop outside the camp to get him some dog food but by the time I paid he’d gone. We also got to meet “curly tail” we name all the doggies by a defining feature and this wee lamb had a wee curl in the end of her tail. We see so many stray dogs which at first was quite sad, but then you realise that is what it’s like here. To be fair I’ve never saw a dog that looks malnourished, and they all seem happy. We now buy doggy biscuits/treats and food. We’re going to pay a visit to a dog shelter one afternoon and take a ton of stuff with us.
We would love to adopt a dog but it’s a lengthy process and realistically not practical in the camper. If we had a motorhome it might be a different story! The Beef isn’t phased by them or the cats. But of course we don’t let him touch them! A furry friend is on the cards at some point. Anyhoo that is enough rambling from me for one week 😀 ’til the next one! xx Lisa
