Despite spending and absolute age last night packing everything away in the motorhome we didn’t leave the campsite until after 19:30. We had an absolute panic on though as we wanted to go to the supermarket to get some bits for the drive and some bits to see us through until Sunday when we are headed for Devon. We realised it was twenty past and then it was throw everything into the Moho and lets just get to Aldi as quickly as possible. I also wanted to put some diesel in as well.
Things which somehow made there way into the Moho that shouldn’t have made it was an old tyre and his travel cot. Whilst i was driving to the supermarket though i found a bin to ditch the tyre. We got to the Aldi about 10 so Lisa went in and got some stuff and i was across the road getting burgled for diesel. I think in the end we set off north for about 8ish. I had my heart set on getting to Poitiers and i think we fell about 15 minutes short of there but we had still made a decent dent in the travel time.
As we are in our Moho we only drive about 60 mph so if a trip should take 10 hours it probably takes us 12.5. So driving in total it is about 600 miles and we did nearly 200 so a really good dent in it. We found a service station to park at and as we drove round to find the staying over part was a bit in the middle of no where so we turned back around and went and parked with the lorries as i always think it is safety in numbers. Only problem was one of the lorries had its air con on or something because it sounded like a helicopter taking off. But i was knackered so it didnt bother me at all.
