It is mad to thin that come the 1st December this diary will be 1 year old exactly. Just thinking back about when it started we were living almost full time in our caravan and planning this trip. I had not told my employer at the time who you will know as “The Dodge”. I was still at A and E Leisure. We had planned roughly where we were going to go but we still had it in our mind that we were going to have enough of a budget for 12 months which we discovered after a few month was absolutely not going to be the case.
The most stressful part was probably waiting for the house sale to go through and there were times that we thought that we were going to have to delay setting off whilst it went through. We also in that period around Christmas and New Year got the storage box fitted to out Transit, spent 2 full days at the Trafford Centre Transit Centre so they could assess the vehicle as it was down for a recall on the wet belt, so they changed that and we got the vehicle serviced and MOT’d all in about a week. It was a very stressful time and by this point the Beef was less than 4 months old.
When you think about it all really he has been an incredible baby and it goes to show how versatile they (babies) are. Everything we have ever done he has been by our side mainly eating but by our side none the less and he has just enjoyed coming along for the ride. A prime example of that was when we went on the excursion from Marrakech to Merzouga and we spent pretty much 3 days in a mini bus and he was so so well behaved for that considering. It has all been worth while through as we have millions of memories and a million photographs and we have experienced so much together. That is priceless.
