Diary Entry – 27th September 2023

Wednesday means back into normality with my shift timings so back on a 09:00 – 17:30. It makes such a huge difference with what you get done in a day. When you start late you never really get chance to start anything let alone finish. I used to enjoy a late back in the UK because you have errands to run and stuff but not here. What i should be doing is exercise but that falls by the wayside. The way the timings fall on that late shift is Mum starts at 10 and i am on Baby duty until i start working.

The last couple of mornings I have woken up i have felt a bit chilly. The air con unit we have does hot as well as cold but I am not sure i am using it properly as every time I turn it on there is condensation absolutely everywhere, on work tops the lot. Need to visit the instructions i think. I never expected to have to use the warm air especially in the South of France towards the end of September. I am definitely guilty of over egging weather abroad. In January this year when we were doing Portugal or northern Spain i was in no way prepared for the cold or the dark early nights.

We ended up going to the supermarket again this evening but this time it was for treats, as money had been so tight for a couple of months to have a bit of extra pennies to go and buy some sweeties and a few other little treats was nice. I think we are out of the woods now for our toughest times and i will be honest there were times when it was tough but we are certainly getting into a much stronger position. To be fair having the drive back for the NEC is a bit of a faff as we are half way to Algeciras but the opportunity was too good to turn down and i said in the summer that i would come back to help the Dodge out.
