The Motorhome progress is a slow and steady burner which is strange because it seems to be taking so much time. I am not sure what the challenge seems to be but to get any sort of dialogue with dealer seems quite tough. The best example is one of the first ones we viewed online was an old one at 2007. The interior was dark but wanted something a bit older so it has a bit of character and something that we can do up (in Morocco). ON almost every site there is someone that either does mechanical repairs or upholstery work. So we wanted an older one with lower payments and then do it up.
This one we enquired about a few weeks ago but by the time the dealership came back to us someone else had reserved it so we were well and truly annoyed. Tonight we were checking around again of which has now become a daily job and the original one was back up on the dealers website so we were annoyed again as they hadn’t told us it was back on. This time we were not taking any prisoners so we reserved knowing that now we had a seat at the table and they had to start dealing with us. So hopefully have some news regarding a new motorhome in the coming days.
I think partly it is because we are out here so we have stopped saying that we are in Morocco as it just seems ot make it 10x more difficult. It is almost becoming too much hard work but hopefully now this should be the beginning of the end of the saga. Then the really hard work starts then and we have to plan getting everyone back home in-between working part time remotely in a short wheel base transit. What i thought would the be the easiest part has since proved to be much more difficult than i was expecting. It is getting to the point where we are thinking about binning it off for 6 month because it has just been a bit of a pain.
