Diary Entry – 23rd July 2023

It is amazing just how much easier life is with a motorhome. Every minute that passes it makes me wonder just how did we manage to live in a Short wheel base Ford Transit for nearly 6 months with 2 full adults and a 4 month old baby? But it was easy at the time and to be fair in the future id love an A Class and have more space again. Or the ultimate dream would be to full convert and old bus. But that is a long way down the line and a few £1000s away as well.

We came up north today and decided to miss out on going out for Rach’s birthday drinks. I can only imagine how that would have ended up. Well, it would have ended up in a right mess. I am working at A and E Shop again tomorrow as well so i want to make sure i’m feeling quite fresh as it is show prep week. That is always a stressful time, to be fair almost as stressful as the end of a show. We had a very slow potter up and probably did no more than 55 miles an hour. We are never in a hurry so we just sit on the inside lane.

We are going to have a few nights on A and E car park and use it as a bit of a base for a few nights but we spent Sunday night on a camp site called Belmont Hall which i had heard quite a few people talk about. It was absolutely lashing down all night and it was soaked. They had had to shut half of the site down but they had a few pitchs left. We got there about 7 PM and i was feeling quite tired now having had a few nights on the pop with Ness and Gee. The site is ok, not too bad, it looks brilliant for fishing so i would definitely go back but when i had my fishing stuff,
