I’d had a bit of change of my tactics yesterday and today on the stand which was to stay on wind breaks and try to pick up a few awnings as i go. And to be fair it was a decent plan, as it had worked yesterday and then had another record day today. The thing is i know those Pronto wind breaks like the back of my hand and sometimes you need to stick a bit closer to what you know and focus on that. I did 40 odd wind breaks and 5 or 6 awnings yesterday, same again today the only challenging thing is that all these have to be shipped out by us.
It was nice to be able to focus solely on the stand today and i think that helped me a bit as well. I am not saying for 1 second that i have not given 100% whilst i have been on the stand but after the debacle of earlier in the week i was laser focussed now. I had also got to know the lads on there as well and to be fair they had been sound. How it works i that independant retailers all pay to sell stuff on the stand so i was expecting it to be ultra cut throat sales but the lads were absolutely sound. Obviously always buy from me and A and E Leisure but there are some top lads at other stores UK wide but obviously not as good as us 😉
Another day another VLogger and we got to meet Hey Ho Lets Tow, they are part of our VANother collective so it was great to finally meet those guys. Thats the 2nd set of epople from the Collab we have met now, alongside the incredible UK Moho touring. It was Julie who made Koji for the Beef so they will always have a special place in our heart. IM starting to day dream about Morocco now as well, im now in the position where i can say “this time next week”. I cannot wait but dont for one second this i under estimate the travelling we have to do in the mean time.
I had my first mini night out since the Beef was born as i went for tea with the guys at Miller and Carter and had steak and red wine. It was nice to go out but nothing beats being back at base with Mum and the Beef. They went the Casino, i went for 4 minutes then did a back door boogie. If there is one thing i cannot do it is drink and eat.
