Diary Entry – 21st November 2023

We had some people around again. I do like organising these little shin digs. Tom and Skye (the dog) said when he cam around “where do you keep finding al these English people?”. We were graced by the presence of John and ‘Manda Borrowdale, there 2 pals that they had met in Portugal and a wonderful woman who follows us on FB who reached out to us who asked if we wanted any home comforts bringing along from the UK as they are in a hotel 50 metres away. Of all the things we could have asked for like Staffordshire Oatcakes, Alcohol spirits Mum opted for Weetabix. Just some Weetabix for the Beef.

I finished work at 6pm UK time but everyone arrived at 5pm, i got confused with the time difference so I was still working whilst people were outside. I could still hear what was going on so I was still a part of it. Think there was 9 people in the end. To be honest I was supposed to be making a curry again but i blackballed that about midday as I didn’t have the chicken or the time to make it. Today was a full day with the sun canopy in as it was due to get windy again in the late afternoon.

We seem to be in the middle of a cold snap here, but not a cold snap by UK terms but it is only just getting above 20 degrees and temperature as low as 13. We still have not seen any rain yet so whether that will change as we move into December. To be honest i don’t think we have had a full cloudy day yet either. There have been times when it has gone foggy in the afternoon but never morning till afternoon. Mum thinks this temperature is perfect for her as she is not a fan of what she would call extreme heat 21 degrees +.
