What a difference the sun makes to VanLife. The previous few days had been so so so windy, but different the sky was blue and there was little wind so it meant we could get the chairs out, the Cadac out etc. we had bacon sandwich’s which was a nice little treat. We had a slow pack down and then we were off to check out.
I’d been very critical so far of our experience that we had received from this site. But as I’d been smiled at by 1 member of staff today and it was sunny maybe they could win me over. I was wrong. When we tried to leave the barrier wouldn’t open, the woman behind the counter came out to us to tell us we were checking out a day late. Basically we were fine and it was the site who were wrong, she then proceeded to tell me a million reasons why it wasn’t the sites error.
Safe to say I wouldn’t go back to Tarifa. Next, we had to meet a guy named Carlos to book our ferry the mad Stokie couple told us of him. Do we were off, went to see Carlos, Rory was having an absolute meltdown. He had scratched his face and he didn’t like it. Ticket sorted, Thursday 10:15. It was on. Morocco. But what happened next will be one of my highlights of the trip. As we drove past Algericas we were greeted by the the rock. It was sensational.
It appears that you are having an amazing time so far, despite a few hiccups. I hope that you continue to do so. Rory is gorgeous by the way.
Happy travelling
Regards Maria
