Another day another move. I woke up nice and early and managed to get out of the camper without waking anyone. So i snook out and got the dishes and the dirty baby bottles etc and took them over tot he sink to get them clean. Did all the dishes and then sterilised and made all the bottles for the coming day. I was on fire, it was nice and cool, a bit of mist was making its way to the campsite from the sea. The pitches here are absolutely massive so i have decided to set up the drive away awning at the back of the camper so i can get the sun canopy out also. All is good, nice quiet campsite. Then all of sudden a little bit of hell appeared…..
I have never ever in my life seen so many flies. Literally hundreds. The campsite is in the middle of agricultural land. There are fruit farms all around in massive green houses. It was like something out of a horror movie. It was so awful, and within 5 minutes we had spoken to Ness and Gee and decided to move. I couldn’t cope, i was expecting to start a remote working role with in the coming days and there was literally no way i could work in this, if you stood still for 3 minutes you would be covered and i mean covered in a matter of minutes. So i had to pack away the drive away awning and all the camp that i had spent the previous afternoon putting together but i could not wait to get away. It was truly truly awful. It was made worse by the fact that it was me and Lisa that had suggested this one over Atlantica parc. So we did feel bad, but super excited to be away.
We decided to make our way to the original campsite Atlantica Parc. Which was another 1 hour 40 back the way we came in the first place. Which was a massive pain, but there was no way i could stay there, absolutely none. So probably the quickest pack down in the history of VanLife. We were headed for Atlantica Parc in Agadir. All we are looking for is somewhere we can have as a base for a few weeks in not months and just relax and have some nice family time. But somewhere that has a beach and a swimming pool but close to enough to some culture so we can still do some serious exploring. We got here at about 2pm and the first impressions were good apart from some French duffer being a knob. I parked my camper in the corner of my pitch to make sure i have as much space as possible but he came out and asked me to park in the middle of my pitch so he could get satellite. There was a miner disagreement but we ended up politely telling him bollocks. IN the end we ended up moving to the pitch over the road anyway because it was more shaded and more sun for those guys. The awning was back up and we went for a little walk to the beach to check it out, the sea is so clear here, but theres just so much rubbish about, it is very frustrating but we found a beach bar and had some cocktails for the afternoon. Me and Gee then offered to make burgers for the women for Mothers Day, i cooked and Gee was the soux chef. They were really good, i love cooking on the Cadac, i also did some fried onions for Gee in the Cadac Tapas dishes. Very good, very nice.
