What has been strange is that since we came back from abroad we spend no where near as much time outside. I am not sure why that is whether it is because the space inside the caravan or because the awning was a mess or whatever but we never sat outside. Also, we never sat outside in the evening either but this was probably due to the fact that we got caught up in the whirl wind of binge watching the TV program Happy Valley. We have loved it, really enjoyed it, if you have not already and you get chance give it a go. The actors/actress’s playing the character are absolutely perfectly casted.
This morning we woke up about 06:30 and for what felt like the first time in ages we just sat outside accompanied by our new chairs of course. We had a cup of tea and the weather was lovely and warm and it was just a really nice reminder of how good it was to travel and it is just such a nice start to a day to sit outside, before everyone else and just relax. I have never camped in this field before so it was nice to see a different view of the place. Cofton is absolutely huge and i am normally on the other bank looking over at this side. They have started to charge for electric on the hard standing pitches so i assume that was why the grass pitches are quite full.
Thing that annoys me the most about the whole paying for electric on your pitch is how can you say that last year your pitch fee was £30 a night and then this year so it is £35 a night and you have to pay for your electric. It just does no5 make any sense to me that you can have the audacity to put the fees up as well. The thing for me is with places like Cofton they can pretty much charge as they wish and to be honest i would still pay it. I appreciate that not everyone like fishing or likes kids but if your do have kids then there is absolutely no better place for me, maybe other than Hendra in Newquay we went there last year pre Beef and that is another one of those places that you never forget. We wrote about it here – definitely worth a read!
