Diary Entry – 16th October 2023

Felt suprisingly calm today considering what we have on for the next few days. That is partly down to the fact that we have loads and loads to do. I suppose i am in the mindset now that i can stop it, it will happen and it will be so may as well try and not let it affect me too much if that is possible. We had a lovely night on Blakemere and they were once again so good to us. We love those guys and love them. It will be one of the first places we go when we head to the north west.

We had to stay in Northwich as we have some errands to run up here ready to depart. So we packed the motorhome up and were off the campsite by 8:30 which is good for us. Initially we headed off to A and E as we had some parcels to pick up and some stuff we left behind from being there before. I also had promised the Dodge some bacon sandwich’s as we were supposed to have stayed on the forecourt so felt compelled to still go and make them them. We collected the 2nd part of his bed which should give him some extra length to lie down. It is amazing how quickly children grow. Next thing you know we will need a new motorhome with a bed for him. I did my usual trick of nipping into the service managers and making a bit of small talk and then saying “can you just come and have a quick look at this for me” when there is something i want fixing on my Motorhome. My windscreen wipers had stopped working and i wasn’t sure whether there was a fuse blown but it was just a pipe that had fallen loose. Next stop was Beef to go the medical centre to get his 2nd set of jabs done, then in to Northwich town centre to get hair cut and Mum wanted her nails doing. Then onto Stoke to say goodbye to me Mum and Nan, pick my awning up from my brother.

After all that we could finally make our way to the campsite where we will spend the next 7 nights. It is about 15 minutes drive from the NEC so not too bad at all. I was not paying £50 to stay on the actual car park without showers or anything like that so we didn’t really have much other choice. We could have stayed in the hotel with the A and E guys but i would be worried constantly about my moho being stolen. We are close enough to not have to worry about getting there. Although far enough to be able to have a shower. It is a CL site called Hill View and was £20 a night including electric. So not a lot of money either.
