Well, that is it, no more caravan. Probably the most stressful day of my life. Lisa was at the storage unit and the guy turned up and the awning was still up and it was (no exaggeration) 3 million degrees. So i had to take the awning down on my own whilst the guy who cam to collect the caravan sat in his air conditioned car. The issue was that there was still loads sitting in the awning so i had to take the poles out, slide it back through the rail and then put it on top of all the stuff. It was such hard work. But in the end it got done and sometimes it is better having it like that because then you know it is backs against the wall stuff and you have no choice to but to get it done immediately.
Once the caravan had gone that left us with a big pile of shite that need to either go to storage or to the tip. There was all the underlay to move and my main concern was that there will be millions of bugs, I hate creepy crawlies and the thought of tackling that was making my skin crawl. To be fair it wasn’t that bad. The worst thing i saw was whilst i was trying to get the awning through the awning rail as a spider that was the size of an Ostrich. Honestly it was mortifying.
So, after 2 more trips to the tip, collect our new chairs and then try and load the camper up. We are away for the next 9 nights in preparation for our Moho so just trying to survive. We went to the supermarket to get some ingredients i am attempting to make a home made curry for my family who are away with us. It was the curry that Gee made whilst we were in Morocco. The ingredient list is not like anything that I have seen before. I am a basic chef and cooking Gnocchi or a curry from a jar was about as exotic as i can cook. So i am looking forward to trying that out and trying to expand my limited knowledge of cooking.
