The plan was to be on a ferry back to main land Europe today but we have an issue…. In a way that only a woman could Lisa decided about 6 weeks ago she wanted new clothes. So she spent an eternity on Moroccan Shein adding stuff to her basket only to find that in Morocco it was about triple the price. So she decided to order them to the UK and then ship them to here instead. With Royal Mail they had a 5 – 7 business day delivery to our current campsite.
So at great expense she got the stuff delivered to my Mums address along with packing tape, boxes and everything you could need to get some clothes to Agadir. My Mum and Nan then wrapped the clothes into 3 boxes each measured to make sure it weighs less than 2kg a box. They got posted on 23rd April. I asked Lisa explicitly “babe, for the sake of 5 or 6 weeks why don’t we just wait and get them at home?”. She insisted that it was 5 to 7 days and they will be here in no time.
They are not here, so I wanted to be on the ferry back today and get best part of a full days driving under my belt so we can get set up somewhere for a few days and keep chipping away air. The drive is about 20 odd hours to get to Calais from here, so bank holidays are great as it means I’m not working and can get a day of it in. But due to no parcels we have decided to stay here 1 more week to try and get the clothes and then start getting back. The only thing we have pencilled in so far is my nephews birthday party on 27th May. He doesn’t know yet so hopefully he will chuffed. Hopefully they get here and get here before Friday because that 27th will be around before we know it.
