Another entry from me (Lisa) today. It’s been a mental busy day today. I committed to doing our latest Youtube video. This entry was part of a collaboration with other like minded van lifers/campers called Vanother Collective. We try to vlog once per month as part of the group, but the last couple of months we’ve took a break due to bad wifi/data and travelling. This month’s top was all about our top 3 gadgets/accessories we couldn’t be without.
I’m usually not a fan of being in front of the camera but I actually really enjoyed filming this and I’m even thinking about starting my own channel/blog. Would love to know your thoughts on this…would anyone be interested in hearing about vanlife from a woman’s perspective exclusively and what it’s like bringing up a baby travelling? Any other suggestions/what you would like to hear about are most appreciated. Anywho, enough about that, daddy gave me 3 1/2 hours to get my filming/editing and Youtube bits done and disappeared with the beef a walk down the sea front in search for a pint.
The video went out a 6pm UK time as a premiere, that’s how Vanother Collective set up the videos, it’s always a bit nerve racking as you want loads of people to turn up, alas there were 8 on the premiere and a few questions but overall at the time of writing (Mon afternoon) the video has almost had 1k views, so I’m pretty chuffed with that. At the end of the video I did a little plug for my newly released children’s book, and someone commented they bought it for their grandson, I was more chuffed about that! If you have a wee one to entertain and occupy you can get it on Amazon – Rory & Koji World Adventure Series, Book 1 – Scotland. It’s all about a little boy and his toy dragon in their magical campervan. It’s even got a colouring in and activities section at the end of the book for even more fun! I got the inspiration to write it after Julie from UK Moho Touring crocheted Rory a baby dragon called Koji, I thought I could write about all the countries the real life Rory and Koji have visited to inspire young kids to dream big, have fun and learn new facts. Please let me know your thoughts in the comment about the channel/blog idea, and any other questions/suggestions you may have. ’til the next one, xx Lisa
