My first day off in 2 whole weeks and i ended up as busy, if not busier than if id have been working. I promised myself that i was going to have a lie in. The Gestapo had signed it off and everything. To be honest i was absolutely knackered and i was falling to bits. 13 days with a show in between is one hell of a lot of working, walking, talking, selling and lifting and to be fair what i really needed was a good old rest. Today, was to be that day… in theory. However, my mind doesn’t work like that and instead of a lie in i was awake for 07:15 and frustratingly once I am awake then there is very little chance of me getting back off to sleep.
I had loads of stuff i wanted to do today but with the difference off non of them were scheduled and i didnt have a timetable it was go at my own pace. I got loads done, we had done a campsite review on Blakemere Touring Park that i needed to edit. I also wanted to do a video for Youtube and A and E Leisure on the wind breaks i keep bleating on about. With me being the wind break guy it only seemed fair that i did a video on them. They are honestly the best thing in the world and i promise you know that they are going to take the market by storm.
The plan was to get up early and do all the that the only problem being the weather is absolutely shambolic. It should have stopped raining at 9, but then the weather report changed to 10, then to 11, then to 12. So we decided to go to Lidl and do a bit of a shop. Isn’t it funny now how a bit of a shop is about £130… remember when you could go to the supermarket and spend £30. Not now, butter alone is about £7 quid. We have started buying Danpak now in Lidl instead of Lurpak somewhere else. Rip off. I’d wanted to start early but because of that and going shopping i was running well behind. So by the time all my jobs were done, i headed over tot he shop as id promised the Dodge id do a bit of merchandising in there for him to tidy it up a bit. So by the time id finished it was 9pm and just like that my day off had evaporated and i was facing again another 6 day stretch so that will be 20 out of 21 days worked. It has been important for us though.
