Was up at the crack of dawn today to pull the sun canopy in. There is a lot of wind forecast from 9am so 7am canopy in. We always try and keep on top of the weather as we have been stung before with adverse weather. However it is easier to manage over here as 95% it is red hot weather. It was very peculiar as the weather forecast said that it was going to peak at midday but by 11 there was still hardly any wind and I was starting to think that i had pulled it in for no reason. Jesus, am i glad i did!! I had pulled Ness and Gee’s sun canopy in last night but I could no longer sit at my desk by the camper so i had to go and sit in there motorhome. Else i would have been blown away. I tell you something sitting in the motorhome and having space to sit and still have a kitchen, toilet and fixed bed has cemented what was already a growing urge to get a motorhome.
The wind was horrendous once it got going, dust everywhere, the toilet tent was nearly away i had to lift the mats up and all sorts. Even with weights on the corners etc the wind was trying to have it away. I can cope with rain and sun but the one thing i hate the most is the wind. There is nothing you can do in it. It is awful and can be so damaging to anything and everything. SO i was glad when it had started calming down later on in the evening it should be still again by the morning time so i will have to get the carpet back out, sweep it etc. WIp0e everything down as it is dusty as anything. Re-wash the Cadac and stuff. The dust is a real pain. Saying that on our campsite in the UK the dust is an absolute pain.
For the first time since we arrived in Morocco we had to get in the camper early and pop the heater on as it was a little it cold. As we didn’t have the canopy out, the wind was still up we got into the camper before it was dark and called it a day. I wish we still had the TV in the camper but someone (not mentioning names, but it was a female) damaged the TV so we never really got round to using it. But would be great now especially just to entertain the Beef for a little while just so we could have 5 minutes. He seems to come on leaps and bounds this last week with his hand eye coordination and his ability to play and just sit there and play with blocks or teddys. I am really looking forward to this next stage as his personality really starts to show through. He really is a lovely lovely boy.
