I always get a bit giddy on my first day on holiday and yesterday was no exception. Normally when i go away i enjoy a beverage or 2. My hope was that by having a carvery that would not save any space for the beers but i think a combination of being here partnered with driving and feeling like I needed a bit of a blow out meant the carvery didn’t fulfil its responsibility. What made it worse was the fact that this was our first time with metered electricity here and needing wifi meant it was a slightly more stressful than normal arrival.
We stayed in the warren retreat until around 10pm in the end and i was ready for coming home. Our food was booked in at 2pm so we had a while in there. The kids club staff couldn’t believe how much he had come on in such a short time since we were here in June. I think it is nice that they remembered him/ us as they must see thousands of children over the summer. I suppose once you meet the Beef you don’t forget him.
He spent many an hour bum shuffling and crawling from one end of the dance floor to the other. There were a couple of ladies as well that had there eye on him. He just loves the lights and could sit there for hours and just watch them go around the dance floor. We played bingo and won again which was nice so that bought us a couple of drinks. I was laughing with one of the guys behind the bar as when i was here i was moaning about the £6.20 a pint but when id just come back from the south of France we were paying £8 so i was chuffed to be saving a bit of money.
