Owen left us today unfortunately, he was headed for his Marrakesh Tinder Mistress, he was to take her bowling and go out for some food, so we waved him off. The beauty of this Vanlife stuff is that he just decided to head off on a similar route to what we took and just headed for the desert and sent us some amazing pictures that he took. It was his camper and just desert behind him. It was amazing! Some of the things i have witnessed whilst sitting in my camper and looking out on this site have been brilliant. Let me tell you about today initially we were greeted by a family of 4 peacocks and they make peculiar noises which i wasn’t expecting and nearly had a heart attack. Then a bit later on i got to see a bloody wild turtle just strolling past the camper door. It was so so so peculiar.
I have really enjoyed this warmer weather we have done so much more cooking outside. Nothing wildly extravagant or anything like that but i have purchased a tagine, i dont think i will ever cook a tagine but i will certainly be able to cook a stew on it and a lobby. For those that are not Northern or from Stoke a lobby is like a stew but better because it is from Stoke. The weather forecast is getting better and better next week the temperature is starting with a 3 and there is no decimal point. We went and asked what we need for the trip and we were told that we just needed a bit of water for the drive, we later discovered that it is 9 hours away and that was with no deviation from the fastest route. This was going to be such hard work with the wee man.
We had promised ourselves we were going to do things like a packed lunch and a little tuck bag etc . This never happened we just went to bed, the heat is so tiring and we were knackered. The minibus was due to pick us up the next morning at 7 so we had to set an alarm for 6am so we could sterilise bottles and put the sun canopy away, pop etc. I am quite looking forward to this excursion i am just so worried about the beef and how he copes. But i have paid 2000DH fore it now so we are going and we are going to enjoy it.
