Diary Entry – 15th September 2023

Having been on the road since January this year i have spent the first 4 months on a sabbatical then working remotely, mainly in Morocco. It doesn’t matter, there is something about Fridays that i just absolutely love. Even when i was having a break from work i still looked forward to Fridays. That Friday thing is definitely a thing and i get it something rotten.

It has been so warm here this last few days we are in the middle of one of those cycles with rain and storms. It is just so hot, Lisa says it is muggy but it isn’t muggy it is just hot. It has to be cloudy to be Muggy. Think we have this as well for the next few days fortunately so at least for Dad and Beef day there should be good weather. I am still no sure what i am going to do yet but i am determined to get out and about with him. Even if it is just a picnic and get a big walk under our belt.

We have 2 weeks left here and i cannot believe how fast the previous 3 weeks have gone. It has literally flown by and i would definitely come back here again. This is a really lovely part of France. I wouldn’t come for this long though, maybe for a few days as we moved south but i think i would get into Northern Spain where things are a bit cheaper. The thought of paying £8 a pint is criminal really and if that was back i wouldn’t drink but it still feels a bit like a holiday although we did say that we were not going to treat it as a holiday this time and treat it as we would at home. Maybe Santander or Bilbao as we didn’t really get much chance to spend time there and San Sebastian is absolutely beautiful. It would be brilliant to spend some time there in our Moho.
