Diary Entry – 10th September 2023

It rained quite a bit over night which was totally mad because there had not been any rain forecast for days yet. We had left a load of washing out and everything was absolutely soaked. So until 9ish it was misty and overcast but then within the space of about 4 minutes all the mist was gone and it was absolutely roasting! So i had to put all the washing back out to dry and put my Outwell chairs in the sun to get them dry! You wouldn’t believe how much water they can hold, its because of how padding but wow they can hold some liquid.

If i have said it once, i have said it 100 times but thank god for this air con. If you have ever thought about it, just do it. Your camper experiences will never be the same again. I am not sure how much we will use it in Morocco with the time of year but even if it is just for 3 or 4 days a month and especially at night. With it being close to the coast it is never really hot but i can be occasionally. I will never forget 1 night it was 28 degrees in the camper and it was impossible to get to sleep. Literally melted. It was horrendous. Even if it avoids a couple of those night it will be worth it.

We went to the super market this morning just to get a few bits and we bought stuff for a mini Sunday dinner which was a real nice treat. I do miss UK food and strangely UK food prices France is bad. Lidl and Aldi are not too bad but the Intermarche must be a Waitrose equivalent. We had carrots, sprouts, chicken, gravy with Dauphinoise potatoes and it was lovely. Off we headed to the lake to try and catch a nice sunset but unfortunately as it got close to the horizon it got hidden by the clouds again.
