We have a huge cockerel problem. I know some places you may hear them in the distance and they can be a bit of a pain but there must be about 5 of them the other side of a hedge about 10 metres away and boy are they loud and they going off from about 4am in the morning and it is pretty constant. I am a heavy sleeper and Lisa is even worse but it even wakes us up so it must be loud. It is by far the loudest we have ever heard whilst we have been away travelling. I don’t think it seems to be interrupting the Beef much but when he is only ever 15 seconds from a melt down any noise isn’t great noise.
We have made our next plan, we are heading a bit further east and heading into Luxembourg. It is a place i have never been before and it will be country number 10 for the Beef. He is far more well travelled than me and although he wont be able to remember it i hope that we will all be able to tell him the tales of his travels as a baby. It is his birthday on the 2nd September and i would love to get him to 12 countries before his birthday so that would maybe be Germany and Switzerland before the 2nd September. Don’t know if i fancy paying for all that diesel mind.
The one thing i have lost patience straight away with is something i had not even thought about when we set back off for the continent is the mosquitos and they seem to love the Beef. Within one night he has bites on him and i absolutely hate them. They don’t seem to be bothering him but it is just a constant visual reminder that they are here. The worst thing is i’m regimented with the fly screens on windows and on the door etc so i don’t know how any have got in. As soon as i see one it becomes a personal mission of mine to take them out. We had to send Lisa to the pharmacy again today to get some repellent. Hopefully it works. I’m going to go into the garage and dust off the Moroccan Miracle Mosquito stuff that seems to keep them away and i don’t really get how it works
Oh bless him! Make sure you have some hydrocortisone cream, it’s usually for bites and stings but is a winder cream for any skin complaint I wouldn’t be without it since discovering it! They don’t like essential oils and Avon Skin so soft if you can get hold of any. Apparently our elite forces swear by it! 🤷♀️
Safe travels and well done on finding work, remote now appears to be harder to get and people are going back to the normal office or hybrid at least for most. X
