The great march South has begun. We had a call from the finance company at 10am on the nose saying everything was complete there end. SO in theory nothing else can go wrong but until i have the keys in my pocket i wont be settled. We left Portavadie at about 13:00 hours. We wanted to go and say good bye to tall the staff as they had been brilliant. The plan was (i was sick and tired of putting stuff and down and up and down and up and down) so i wasn’t getting the stuff out of the camper again. So we were headed west first to Kirkintilloch, Kirky for short. We were being hosted by Lisa’s Mum and Dad. Aptly named Big Paul and Liz. Big Paul because her brother is called Paul as well and he is Wee Paul.
Lisa’s parents have a dog Winston and the Beef just buzzes off dogs, He literally loves every single one of them. He just spent most of the time just sat there screeching at him with absolute delight. Liz made us a curry and frustratingly it was much nicer than the one we make. But i think that was because she marinated the meat for 24 hours. We ordered some breads from the Kirky Mahal which is the best Indian Take away in the whole of Kirky. Whenever it is Lisa parents birthdays or whatever we always send them a Tandoori Grill Mix.
We just sat up till late and chatted, well, when i say we chatted most of it was Big Paul rambling on bless him. He hasn’t half got some rattle on him. But we both had a really nice evening, i am always conscious that we spend 85% of our time down south so i forget how much they miss her. 2 more sleeps until we get the motorhome.
