Diary Entry – 14th July 2023

Today marks a huge huge day in our pursuit our pursuit for a motorhome today so it was approved yesterday and we were hopefully trying to get it over the line and sorted for tomorrow but the paper work didn’t get done in time. Even though it is done, I dare not believe that it is done as we got burnt before we got the camper so because of that I cant get excited fully. But in the back of my mind I am thinking that surely the same mistake cannot be made twice. But there has been many a sip of tea spilt between lip and cup.

The plan will be to get down to Glossops on Monday and get the Moho then we have the debacle of trying to get the storage unit empty and working out what is coming with us when we go back out and what is staying behind. What do i do with my fishing stuff? Where will i keep what we are not taking? How are we going to get all the stuff to the tip? Loads to do.

So today will mark our last at Portavadie and it has been really really nice. It was well worth it, and to be fair this originally wasn’t our first choice but it certainly wont be the last time we come here not by a long shot. It has been great. Not much to do mind, whilst the swimming pools are closed and not much if the weather is terrible in a campervan with a 10 month but hopefully next time we come back it will be in a motorhome.
