Diary Entry – 20th June 2023

We are absolutely devastated…… we have spoken to the dealer where we are due to pick the Moho up from and it failed its MOT and it will take a week or so to get the bits for it. To say we are gutted is an understatement but safety is paramount. It is something to do with the seat belt so just has to be done. That then poses a whole range of problems:
– Where do we sleep from the 26th onwards?
– When can we get our Moho back in to have some bits done on it?
– What will we stay in for CamperJam?
– Where we going to put all of our stuff that we, as the storage unit is pretty much full already?
– Will we be able to get to Mallaig for Lisa’s birthday?
This really has messed up a truck load of plans that we had.

To say we were gutted is an absolute understatement. We have been so so so looking forward to getting the Moho and for it to be delayed is a royal kick in the Axles. The saving grace is that we are here in Dawlish to soften the blow if we were up north id be even worse. Aside from this we are having such an incredible time here and the Beef is absolutely loving it as well. He has been so good, i have been taking him to kids club for 5pm and then by the time bingo starts at 19:30 he is falling asleep so we can play bingo. We won the music quiz tonight!! The first time i have ever won anything to be fair. Saying that my music knowledge is absolutely incredible.

There is kids club every night here which i found amazing because of it technically being out of season although summer. To be fair there were still loads of kids running about. Also, the outdoor was open as well which is good because people seem to prefer that to the indoor one but with the beef still being a bit unsure about swimming (although he is a million times better than in Morocco) so we prefer the indoor heated pool than the outdoor one. They have also built an outdoor splash area as well which looks to be brilliant.
