Diary Entry – 18th June 2023

I forgot to mention yesterday my curry was a roaring success. It was absolutely lovely and to be fair easy to make as well. I am not going to share it because otherwise i wont feel as special if everyone can do it. My brother in law is a curry connoisseur and he ever said it was nice. I suppose the only thing being that as i am a fussy eater i don’t like big bits of onion or what ever in my curry. I’m a sauce and meat guy only. It was spicy and even the kids tried some, strangely enough the Beef loved it. All made in one pot as well so no messing about. I am going to do a video on it. Even the chicken just goes straight in the sauce. It is so so so simple and so nice.

Anyway, back to today….. We left about 12:00 from Pillaton to make the long arduous trip down the M5 which is probably one of the most boing drives in the world to Dawlish. Its about 30 miles to get to the M5 then 160 miles on the M5 then off at J30 and then 15 minutes through Starcross and you are there. Just the M5 is dull. It is strange how you get used to the land marks on the way. So you know that once you get to Gloucester services you are about half way, the bridge at Bristol, then the road splits, then you get to the big Morrisons depot and you are then only 52 miles away from Cofton. Then it is time to get excited.

We are not due to get our caravan until tomorrow but i didin’t want to have to do the drive through Birmingham on a Monday so we are having one night on a grass pitch here in the camper then into a static for 6 nights as we are heading back a night early so we can be near to Glossop’s ready for Motorhome Monday!! Trying to play it cool but we are super super excited. But i am just going to enjoy this week coming up and enjoy being able to take the Beef to an English kids club rather than the French one when we were all inclusive in Marrakech
