It is strange that despite only working a few hours a day and only weekdays how much and how quickly you start to cherish the weekends again. I have not worked since very early December so it was nice to have a break for a few months but it has been quite nice to get back in and doing a few bits. We are now into our 5th week in Morocco and the transition we have gone through has been huge. I would absolutely advocate coming here in a campervan or motorhome. I intend to write a book on how to do and how to prepare yourself for it. I know that there are one or two already out there but I want to offer a bit of a different view, our view. A lot of the time things get glamorised so much and it offers a warped sense of reality and such wild expectations that sometimes the reality is far far away. That causes disappointment.
We have had a lovely day of just sitting by the campervan today, we have hardly seen a cloud in the sky in the day for almost a month now and it is starting to heat up. Looking around everything looks like it could do with a good rain storm. I have been surprised at the lack of storms we have seen since we have been on the road. We had a handful of rumbles in Portugal in Albufeira but nothing else. I would love to see a proper African thunder and lightning storm wild rain, the works. No wind though as that may damage the camper ha ha ha.
One thing we have realised is that the Supermarkets are not, or certainly don’t appear to be any cheaper than the little mini supermarkets so we have started venturing into more of these and we found these little packs of pot noodle type things but they are really really spicy. The reason why I like them so much is because I am a fussy eater they have the bits (the peas, carrots etc) in a separate sachet but they also have a separate sachet for the spices so its just noodles and spice. They are gorgeous. One of the many highlights of Morocco for me
Looking forward to getting a signed copy of this book you plan on writing.
