Another early rise, but at least we managed to tackle some of the day’s chores before it even started. I scrubbed dishes like a fiend, and washed so many baby bottles I’m starting to feel like a human dishwasher. But hey, it’s all worth it for that sweet, sweet feeling of productivity.
I’m now a digital nomad, which sounds fancy and all, but really just means I work for four hours a day, five days a week, while basking in the sun with a cold beverage in hand. And let me tell you, it’s been a real hoot! Lisa takes care of the little one and brings him to the pool or beach, and once I’m done with my work, I join them with my trusty cocktail. Life doesn’t get much better than this.
We’re loving our time at this site. It’s the perfect location for all our taxi needs, and there’s a big supermarket about half an hour away. We’ve decided to load up the camper and make a day of it on Saturday, exploring the local area and maybe even finding some hidden gems. The possibilities are endless!
Last night, we had a delicious meal, so we decided to go all out again tonight and whip up some steak with Dauphinoise potatoes. You heard that right, potatoes from a can. But let me tell you, those bad boys are absolutely delectable. It might not be quite as fancy as Miller and Carter, but it’s damn good for a one-pan meal on my trusty Cadac Safari Chef 2.
As we savored our meal, we started daydreaming about full-time travel and how we could make it work. Who needs to worry about returning home when you can just roam free and explore the world? Honestly, the thought of it is so enticing that it’s hard to resist the temptation of living like nomads. But hey, for now, we’ll just enjoy our little slice of paradise and make the most of every moment. Who knows what adventures tomorrow will bring?
