In a couple of days time I will be really annoyed that I have wasted the last couple of days. I say wasted but Iv relaxed and chilled. However doing any of the tasks I wanted to do whilst on this site Iv not managed to do. IE empty the cupboards wipe the floor, wipe awning floor down. To be fair the fact that it is blowing a hurricane outside means we have been pretty much stuck in. Alongside the dite not being a particularly friendly site. I’m just thinking how I can a positive 500 word blog about the site when to be fair we are both looking forward to moving around the coast to Algericas and Gib. We have started planning our first few nights there and we are planning on staying in Tangier for the first 2 nights do it’s just a case of whether we drive from Tangier Med to Tangier or get the ferry from Tarifa instead of Algericas. The max Stoke couple gave us the details of an elusive ferry organiser called “Carlos” so we will go and see him first thing.
We went and put some washing on earlier do it was not a totally wasted day. We thought as the wind had died down we would try and take Rory to the beach and stand him in some sand for the first time. By the time we got there the sea was packed full of kite surfers and the wind was still outrageous on the beach snd the wind was doing that thing where it blows sand on your legs. There was no way we could have stayed. Have not really enjoyed last few days. I’m sure I’d feel different perhaps with better weather.
I was thinking earlier today how lucky Iv been to get to spend this time with Rory and Lisa and his not many Dads get the chance to do it. Let alone in a camper. I will never ever forget these days. The best of my life. The wind was relatively calm this afternoon but once again at 21:22 GMT the wind is outrageous. The worse thing is it stops you from sleeping because you can hear it all over whether it’s against the camper. The weather for the next couple of days in Gibraltar is supposed to be really nice so looking forward to getting some sun on my legs!
Relaxing and chilling is definitely part of this travel and life thing. Good for you. I am learning to chill more and not to frame it as having wasted or frittered away time.
