I was on the night feed and as usual he woke at 02:44 so like a zombie i got up and sorted him his bottle out, we use this machine to sterilise and warm his bottles it is from Dr Brown. It takes around 6 minutes to sterilise and 4 odd minutes to warm them up. The good thing is that the Jackery powers the machine so if we were off grid for a period time then the Jackery can do it. He then went back down to sleep till about 8ish in the morning. This not sleeping through the night is a nightmare, but i spent the day editing videos and trying to catch up with social media stuff the plan today was trying to get on top of everything. I failed, still got all footage from Quinta de Padrela to get through. We have decided to stay on this site for another 3 nights so i cn hopefully catch up, get everything sorted like cleaning, sorting out washing and having a fresh start as we head south to Nazare next.
We decided to have a walk down to the sea front to go to a small super market, but we decided to have a drink first and something to eat and get to the supermarket on the way back. That didn’t go to plan as we ended up having a couple of drinks and trying to go back into the restaurant we were in before which was fantastic. s we walked to it we found out it was closed so as it was sold cold, and i mean it does get super chilly in the dark here. We started the walk back to the site as there is a pizza place on the route. We stayed there and it was very very nice, we still have not had a bad meal out since we have been on the road.
As we have 3 nights here left, we are going to have 2 days out the first one is Portugal’s Venice and we have not decided where next. I have really enjoyed Portugal, the drivers as i have mentioned are crazy and there does seem to be a distinct lack of health and safety. I am looking forward to the weather picking up in the morning, it is a real wide spectrum of temperature. From 15 to 0 is a wide array of temperature. On this site i went for a shower yesterday and the water was so so so hot, i have never seen water like it, but once again the sense of joy from having a good shower make a huge difference!
