Camperfest at Chester Racecourse offers a unique twist on the traditional camping festival.

Camperfest is a family camping weekend in the city of Chester, alongside the Taste Cheshire Food and Drink Festival. Celebrating its 13th year, it’s not just about pitching tents or your pop top; it’s an immersive food and drink experience, coinciding with the UK’s largest Easter Food and Drink Festival.

Here’s the deal: from Saturday to Monday, with activities winding down by 5 pm on the last day, you’re in for a treat. Your pitch fee includes unlimited free access to over 150 food and drink stalls. Imagine stepping out of your camper and being greeted by some of the finest street food and drinks around.

But there’s more than just food. Children can join free cooking classes, learning to create dishes in fun 45-minute sessions. Adults aren’t left out either – there are cooking classes where you can cook and eat with guidance from top chefs.

For some added enjoyment, the festival offers a dedicated camper’s tipi hub, free children’s movies, a dedicated bar, and a selection of daytime events crafted just for campers. Camperfest promises a delightful blend of culinary adventure and camping fun, making it a memorable weekend for the whole family.

Fun Fact:

Established in 1539, Chester is the oldest racecourse still in operation in the world. During the Roman occupation of Britain, most of the modern sixty-five-acre site of Chester Racecourse was not even dry land.
