Welcome to todays diary entry! A bit of a better day today with the Wee Man and he didn’t do the post nap melt down in the afternoon which always enhances my mood in the afternoon. We have tried something a bit different today which was when he woke up leave him for as long as possible to let him come round. It seems, even in a morning about 10 minutes for him to wake up and realise what is going on. So we did that today and also once he had woken up and settled a bit we just took him on a little 15 minute walk around the campsite and that just seems to reintegrate him better into being awake much better. And almost anything is better than dealing with what we sometimes have to endure.
A couple of days now i have done a 5k walk with the Wee man and i am walking it in about 48 odd minutes which for walking isnt too bad but it has been really warm the last few days so the thought of running it at the moment seems like a lifetime away. I am really enjoying my time being back here and being back a 3rd time means you definitely appreciate it more than the 2nd time of being here. The first time obviously is brilliant and then with the 2nd time you sort of take it for granted and not waste your time but perhaps don’t cherish it as greatly as you should.

Whereas with the 3rd time because of your angst of taking the second time for granted you absolutely make the most of this time. For example i think i have been on the beach more this 3rd time than i did in the whole second time that we were here already. Maybe that is partly because of the Beefs age and partly down to the fact that he in fact loves the beach now and loves sand and loves playing on the edge of the sea. I also suppose a large part of that is me not having to work full time this time round so i have more time in the day.
But certainly a large portion of it is appreciation and the fact that the UK weather this winter was nothing short of an absolute disgrace. It has honestly rained so much so to be able to look forward to some guaranteed sunshine has been fantastic and that is another thing i am not taking for granted this time. A few times now when i would have traditionally hidden away from the sun and sat inside i am making more of an effort to be in the sun and trying to get a bit of a tan. I have also made great use of the awning as well and tried to sit in there as much as possible and that was why i went through so much effort to make a desk and a nice environment to be able to sit outside rather that that being an excuse to sit inside under the air con.
